About the Fabric:

+ Made with hand-loomed linen fabric from Bihar, India.

+ Historically, records show that flax and linen have been cultivated in India before 1500 BC.

+ The anti-bacterial and hypoallergenic properties of linen were so well-known at the time that Ayurvedic physicians would instruct new mothers to wrap their new-born children in linen to help protect and cool their skin.

+ Unlike conventionally grown cotton, flax uses much less water and energy to grow. Every part of the plant is used for medicinal and culinary purposes – nothing is wasted.

+ The beauty of fine hand woven linen cloth lies in its light and airy texture. Soft and breathable on the skin, linen allows for the gentle and calming scent of lavender to gently waft through the lavender sachet.

About the Sachet

+ Filled with our own blend of 170 g of organic pearl barley and French Lavender buds

+ Its lovely scent will keep for many years if cared for properly. Store inside an airtight bag or pouch when not in use.

+ Inside, we’ve lined the eye pillow with 100% handloom cotton, to contain the lavender and help it to breathe.

+ The hand embroidered flowers on the front of the eye pillow are embroidered with DMC cotton embroidery floss. All embroidery is done by us in Langley, BC.

+ Inspired by the ephemeral beauty of BC, we want our eye pillows to act as a daily reminder that we are inseparable from the earth and the natural world.

Approximate Dimensions:

+ 9” x 4” ( 22.86 cm x 10.16 cm)

Care Instructions :

+ Hand wash the outer cover in cold water with a mild soap. Lay flat to air dry. Do not put into dryer.

+ Keep away from open flame. To gently warm the eye pillow, place the inner pillow into a waterproof, airtight container and place into a bowl of hot or cold water.

+ Alternatively, remove the outer cover and place the inner pillow in the microwave and heat for no more than 8 seconds.
