la designs Galaxy Girl Postcard

Galaxy Girl is the first piece in my Galaxy Series, a collection of illustrations that explore the quiet connection between women, nature, and the cosmos. Each artwork is an invitation to slow down, embrace stillness, and find comfort in becoming one with the world around you.

Featuring a graceful Black woman floating through a galaxy that flows like water, Galaxy Girl captures a moment of peaceful surrender. Wrapped in a glowing universe, she drifts effortlessly among the stars, reminding us that not every season of life requires constant movement. Sometimes, the greatest strength is found in rest, trust, and allowing yourself to simply be.

Rich celestial colours and scattered constellations create a calming atmosphere that brings a sense of wonder to any space. Inspired by the vastness of the universe and the weightless beauty of water, this artwork celebrates the harmony between humanity and the environments that hold us.

Whether displayed in a bedroom, living room, reading nook, or creative studio, Galaxy Girl offers a gentle reminder to breathe deeply, dream freely, and welcome the peace that comes from accepting life's unfolding journey. A meaningful addition for anyone drawn to celestial art, diverse representation, mindful living, and the quiet magic of the night sky.
